A proper roof tear off is the unglamorous half of every great roof. Stripping the old shingles, felt and flashing all the way down to the decking is the only way to see what is actually underneath — and the only way a new roofing system can be installed to manufacturer specification.
Our Kansas City crews work in a controlled sequence: protective coverings over landscaping and siding, layers removed section by section, debris loaded directly into the dumpster rather than left on the lawn, and a magnetic sweep of the entire property at the end of the day.
Once the deck is exposed we inspect and photograph every square foot, replacing soft, rotted or delaminated sheathing before a single new shingle is fastened. You get the photos, the findings, and a clear explanation of anything we had to repair.
